Why QBA Day?

The mission of QBA is to strengthen communities through basketball and recreational activities, fostering fun, health, and unity for people of all ages. We launched QBA Day to unite the community during challenging times, and it has evolved into a beautiful celebration of love and togetherness, in the heart of the Bronx.

  • What

    QBA Day is a single elimination one day basketball tournament built to support the Bronx community at large. It is a day filled with good vibes, complimentary food and beverages, giveaways, as well as social unity.

  • Where

    QBA Day takes place at the Section 4 Basketball Courts in Co-op City. There may also be street parking around the neighborhood available on a first come, first serve basis.

  • When

    This event took place on Saturday, August 17, 2024 with the first game kicking off at 9:00 a.m. and the last wrapping at 4:00 p.m.

  • Yes, families are welcome and have joined us every year! At the 2024 experience there will be a youth component of the tournament added to the schedule.

  • Yes, there is a public parking garage located right near the basketball court at 99 Bellamy Loop for a nominal fee.

  • Yes, public porta potties will be available on site for the duration of the event.

  • Yes, food and non alcoholic beverages will be available during this event. The location is also walking distance from multiple shops and restaurants.

  • Absolutely - please email contact@qbacares.com and we will be in touch accordingly.

  • In the event of bad weather that would prevent our players from playing, we would reschedule the tournament for the following day, Sunday, August 18, 2024. We have already secured a tournament permit for the rescheduled date should this occur.
