About The QBA
Career Collective
The QBA Career Collective is where ambition meets opportunity.
An initiative powered by QBA Cares, the Collective builds bridges between Bronx youth and real-world career paths through mentorship, hands-on learning, and professional experiences. Our mission is to open doors, spark passions, and empower the next generation of BIPOC leaders to dream bigger—and achieve even more.
By connecting industry professionals with emerging talent, we inspire young creatives to explore career possibilities they may have never imagined. Through workshops, internships, and special events, QBA Career Collective is paving a new pathway to success, one career journey at a time.

FAQs
-
No — participation is completely free! Once selected, participants will receive an email with all the details needed to get started.
For this program, we believe cost should not be a barrier to access. That’s why we’ve made this program free of charge — all we ask is that you come ready to show up, stay curious, and make the most of this opportunity. We're looking for folks who are hungry to grow, eager to learn, and excited to invest in themselves and their future.

Our organization is committed to creating spaces and opportunities that center and uplift communities historically excluded from many professional and creative pathways. By requiring participants to identify as BIPOC, we are intentionally focusing our limited program spots on individuals who may not have consistent or equitable access to similar resources, mentorship, or visibility.
This approach allows us to direct support where it’s most needed, fostering a more inclusive and representative future across industries and creative fields. While we hope to expand access in the future, we are currently prioritizing those who have been systematically underserved — not to exclude, but to build equity.
-
Our programs are designed with young professionals in mind — individuals who are actively preparing to enter the workforce or are already navigating early career pathways. Due to the nature of the courses, which may include career development tools, job readiness training, or internship preparation, participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of submission.
This age requirement ensures we can provide relevant, actionable opportunities to those who are legally and professionally eligible to take immediate next steps in their careers.

Our work is proudly rooted in the Bronx — its people, culture, and future — but we also recognize that the challenges and opportunities we address extend across all of New York City. As a Bronx-based organization, we carry the spirit of our borough into everything we do, while also embracing the broader NYC community that shares many of the same struggles and strengths.
This program is specifically for New York City residents because it is designed to invest in the talent, creativity, and resilience that define our city. By focusing on NYC as a whole, we’re building connections across boroughs, amplifying local voices, and fostering collective growth that uplifts not just the Bronx, but the entire city.

Each of our programs is a limited opportunity designed to provide valuable access, knowledge, and resources — all at no cost to participants. Because space is limited, every seat matters. When someone signs up but doesn’t attend, it takes away a spot from someone else who could have fully benefited from the experience.
We ask for a firm commitment to ensure fairness, respect for our facilitators, and the integrity of the learning environment. Showing up is not just about attendance — it’s about honoring the opportunity, your growth, and the community this program is built to serve.
